Richard E. Dearborn

January 30, 1945 — January 3, 2022

Richard Earl Dearborn was born January 30, 1945 Portland, Oregon to Ralph and Helen Dearborn. He graduated from Parkrose High School in 1963. Richard graduated from Western Baptist College in 1994 with a B.S. degree in Management and Communications. He enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1963- 1967, served in Vietnam 1966-67. In 1971 he joined the Oregon National Guard as an Aircraft mechanic and worked his way to becoming an aircraft inspector & the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. In 1994-1997, he joined a unit called JIC-PAC (Join Intelligence Center Pacific) out of McCord Air Force Base. He retired out of the Military In 1998.He then joined the Oregon State Police from 1998-2007 as an Administrative Specialist II.

Richard missed his flying days, but retirement brought new adventures. He joined the Mended Hearts organization Chapter 389. He spent many volunteer hours, ministering too many who were facing open heart surgery. He loved talking about HIS Lord and Savior & praying for those who needed a touch from GOD. He served on the church board for many years. He loved reading the Word & spending time in prayer. He volunteered for Kid's church camp & helped with many fundraisers to support the camps. Wherever someone needed help Richard was there. Most of all he enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family was always a top priority for him.

He was predeceased by his Father and Mother, Daughter Kimberly Ann Dearborn and Brother Rennie Dearborn. He is survived by his wife Nancy, Son's: Michael & Thomas Dearborn -Daughter's: Renea Jones and Rebecca Dearborn- Grandchildren: Natasha Larson, Taner Jones, Simone Richardson, Samuel Dearborn, Wyatt Fred, Areya, Eyden, Kimber & Jeremiah Dearborn - Great Grandchildren: Briahanna, Everette & Parker Larson -Two Brothers: Tom and David Dearborn and Step Sister: Debbie Castro
