Bob Miller was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia on 9/30/30 to Robert E. Miller & Virgie Meda Dwyer. He died at the age of 79 on June 4, 2010 in Salem. Bob came to Oregon when he was 14 and lived in Clearlake, where he met and married the love of his life Doris Jane Punzel on July 3, 1951. He served in the Army from March 1951 to March 1953 in Germany. Bob & Doris moved to west Salem to raise their family and work the farm. Bob started his own business in Plastering, working on many buildings in Salem and the surrounding area. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his family. He was an active member in the Elks Lodge #336. Bob is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Michele "Sheli" Dumas (Edward); son, Scott Miller; grandchildren, April O'Steen (Gary) and Robert Dumas (Tia); great-grandchildren, Calvin Dumas, Kastin O'Steen and Hunter Dumas all of Salem; sisters, Joan Carol Hager and Betsy Ann Daniel; and brother, Charles "Buddy" Berry all of Virginia. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Salem Elks Lodge, 2336 Turner Road SE, Salem. He will be missed by all who knew him, and all who knew him were blessed.
