Robert Lee Walworth was born December 17, 1931 in Pueblo, Colorado. He passed away peacefully September 20, 2013. He was the son of Lee and Irene Walworth. The family moved to Caldwell, Idaho and Bob graduated from Caldwell High School in 1950.
He joined the Air Force in 1951. He was stationed in Massachusetts, Korea, Arizona, then Geiger Field, Spokane, Washington. Here he met Velma Hiebert, also in the Air Force. They were married March 1, 1957 at her home church in Dallas, Oregon.
Robert was stationed in Montana, Denver and Florida before going to Germany.
Here they lived in German Villages, learned German and travelled in Europe. On his return to the States, he was stationed at Vandeberg AFB, California before he retired in 1971. They moved to Oregon and lived the rest of his life here.
We thank Hospice of the Northwest for the wonderful care he was given, especially Brian and Martha. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice of the Northwest, 2290 Commercial Street SE, Ste. 108, Salem, OR 97302.
Services will be Thursday, September 26, 10:30 am at St. Edward Catholic Church, 5303 River Rd N, Keizer. Interment will be in Colorado. Arrangements by Restlawn Funeral Home.
