Ronald E. Wattier

SALEM - Ron Wattier, 69, was born to Carl A. and Dorothy L. Wintz Wattier in Randolph, Nebraska. Ron passed away at his home on September 16th with his wife of nearly 46 years at his side. Ron moved with his family to Oregon in 1947. He married Margaret Olberding in 1961. Survivors include his wife, son, Mark and his wife, Kathy and daughter, Jacquelyn; daughter, Lisa and her husband, Larry and sons, Jonathan, Austin, and Ryan; father, Carl; brothers, Richard (Maria) and Mel; sisters, Diane Patrick and Carol Wattier; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, and brother, Bruce. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 at Restlawn Funeral Home, 201 Oak Grove Rd. NW, Salem. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
