Roy Wayne Kennedy 04/10/1932 – 03/28/2022
Roy was a beloved husband, father & grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol, 3 Children, Wilma (Hollis), Gordon (Becky) & Judy.
8 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. Roy met Carol 65 years ago in a bowling alley and the two of them enjoyed bowling together for many years.
Roy served as a Sergeant in the United States Army and served in Korea. After returning home he lived in Newport, OR and worked in the sawmill. He moved to Salem and spent the majority of his working years as a millwright/mechanic working for Westwood Products & Moore Business Forms.
As a young man Roy loved racing cars on the dirt track and driving in the demolition derby. He was an avid hunter most of his life, he passed his love of hunting on to his son and grandsons.
Roy had a great sense of humor and had many Dad-ism’s that he will forever be remembered for.
He had a positive impact on every life he touched, family, friends & neighbors.
Roy will be forever missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Celebration Of Life will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Friday April 15, 2022 at 11:00 am.
There will be a reception for all following the service, Graveside services for the family will follow the reception.
