Russell Johnson passed away on May 16, 2014 at the age of 93. He was born July 18, 1920 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan Canada to Henry and Dagmar Johnson. He married Joyce Hurst on November 12, 1942.
After working for the railroad during WWII, Russell changed careers and became a journeyman pipefitter. He was a proud 50+year member of the Local 290 Plumber, Steamfitter & Shipfitter's Union and a life member of the Masonic Wasco Lodge #15. His work as a pipefitter took him all around the world including Pakistan, Jamaica, Puerto Rice, Canada and the north slope of Alaska.
Russell is preceded in death by his wife Joyce, brother Stanley Johnson and sister Thelma Cole. He is survived by his son Clay Johnson of Fairbanks Alaska, daughter Jan Prebilsky (Jack) of Salem, sisters Ferna Hendrickson of Snohomish and Donna Stephens of Stanwood and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service is planned for Saturday, May 31, at 1:00pm at Restlawn Funeral Home. Private crypt entombment Restlawn Memory Gardens and Mausoleum.
