February 9th, 1961- November 29th, 2024
Scott was born February 9th, 1961, to Lois and Merle Chrisman in Salem, OR.
When he was born, he had Leukemia. He had Cobalt treatments which caused his spine to curve in an "S" shape. Scott also had eye problems and heart issues. Scott had to wear a back brace until he was 16 years old at which time he received surgery to straighten his back. The surgery involved placing a Harrington Rod in his back and fusing most of his vertebrae. Scott would not let his back brace get in the way of his life. He would go berry picking with a brace on his back. Limited mobility did not limit him. He worked at many jobs over his lifetime. He was a Security guard for Oregon Duck Football games for many years. He would ring the bell for St. Vincent De Paul. He worked in his Uncle Clarence's cabinet shop. He pulled green chain at a mill. Scott spent many years helping take care of his mother and stepfather and driving them to appointments. He enjoyed sitting with their dogs and taking care of them.
Scott is survived by his mother Lois Kachaturian, stepfather John Kachaturian, brother Brad Chrisman, brother Monty Chrisman, son Dustin Chrisman, Granddaughter Zoey Chrisman and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
