Sharon Semph passed away at the age of 69 after her battle with cancer. Sharon was born in Taft, CA to Virginia and Everett Rice and was the youngest of their three children. She married her beloved husband Jim Semph in 1992. Sharon retired early from a local telephone company, CONTEL, in Victorville, California after 26 years of service. She and her husband moved to Oregon in 1998 due to their love for all things outdoors. Sharon later returned to work in Salem as a legal assistant for a local law firm and again retired from the workforce in 2009.
Sharon is survived by her husband Jim Semph of Salem, OR; step-daughter Suzie Soderling, Glenn, and granddaughter Brooklyn of Kingston, WA; brother Stephen and Rita Rice of Bakersfield, CA; brother Stan Rice of Bakersfield, CA; niece Suzee and John Moram of Pasadena, CA; nephew Scott Rice of Bakersfield, CA; niece Sheryl and Tom Peterson of Provo, UT; nephew Stuart Rice of Tooele, UT; niece Patricia Del Prado of San Diego, CA; and three cousins.
An urn visitation will be held between 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3rd at Restlawn Funeral Home, 201 Oak Grove Road N.W. Salem, Oregon. Arrangements by Restlawn Funeral Home.
