Sharon Rae Walker
October 6th 1939 - October 19th 2020
Keizer- Sharon Rae Walker of Keizer, Oregon passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of October 19th, 2020 from natural causes. Sharon and her husband Glenn moved here from Nampa, Idaho in 1980. Sharon was born Sharon Hansen in Portland, Oregon on October 6th, 1939 to Harry and Barbara. Sharon loved to travel, which led her to sew roots all over the country and spread God's word wherever her excursions led her.
She met Glenn, her husband of 43 years in Nampa, Idaho at the Greystone hotel where she worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. From there they would travel to Salem, Oregon and further into Keizer where their home currently stands. She loved spending time with Glenn on road trips to the Coast, Branson Missouri, camping at Foster Reservoir or fishing on the family boat with Mark and Glenn.
The grandchildren's fondest memory of Gramma Sharon will be her enthusiastic approach toward Jesus Christ and her inherent ability to sew, knit and crochet. Her memory was never sharper as she was known to complete crossword puzzles with poise and finesse.
Sharon's greatest pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She constantly bragged about her role as Gramma Sharon and doted on them whenever possible. Her family was her life blood and she lived to ensure their happiness above her own. The title of son/daughter was honorably bestowed on the following individuals (son/daughter + significant other)Her firstborn Mark and his lovely wife Gayle currently reside in Salem, Oregon where Mark is a retired military service member and a general contractor with Gayle continuing her pursuit towards retirement as a certified tax auditor/consultant. Timothy, a long-time hired hand and expert mechanic has recently retired and will be moving to Keizer, Oregon to be closer to Glenn during this time of need. Robert with his wife & forever soul mate Rose, also reside in Salem, Oregon and are enjoying the benefits of retirement through each other's company. Danny, her fourth son, unfortunately succumbed to a long battle with health at the young age of 51. Tammy and her husband Kelvin hail from Nashville North Carolina where they are both self-employed owner/operator truck drivers. Finally, Price and Donna hail from Harrison Arkansas where they are both self-employed owner/operator truck drivers.
She was preceded in death by her son Danny Orville. She is survived by her husband Glenn, her children (Mark, Timothy, Robert and Tammy), her grandchildren (Misty, Mandy, Brandon, Kimberly, Cherylynn, Noah, Audrey, Dawn Marie, Danny Jr., Douglas, Jessica, Cody and Jasmin), and finally her great grandchildren(Alexis,Arianna,MacKenzie,Charles,Kaitlyn,Quentin,Isseah,Karizma,Zariyah, Jah-Shanti, J'Dia, Jaya'Lee, Jonn, Jaxson, Marcus, Torryn, Brody, Remy and Jack).
Sharon's family will forever miss her constant check-ups on them and her laugh, but mostly, will find peace knowing that she is spreading her wings, her eyes are open and clear, and she is with our Lord and Savior making arrangements for each of the families arrivals.
