SALEM - Teresa`s journey
through life passed into heaven
on the wings of butterflies on
Wednesday afternoon, June 29,
2016. She was 60 years old. Teresa
was born in Portland, Oregon,
October 8, 1955, to Lowell and
Donna Hall. She was the third
child, and the baby. Teresa's
childhood on the farm was full of
tomboy activities, riding horses,
caring for farm animals and any
stray dog she could tie to the
porch. Teresa was a decorated
high school athlete lettering in
both Track and Field and Softball.
She was also a member of Canby
High School Cougar Kitten
dance team. Teresa went on to
play competitive softball well
into her 40's. After high school,
Teresa entered the work force
in the banking industry where
she stayed until retiring in 2003.
She married Alan Britt in Salem, Oregon on March 22,
1980. They were together through good times and bad
for 36 years, until her passing. Teresa wanted a bus load
of children, but health issues were a lifelong challenge
and so they adopted a newborn baby boy, Brock, in
1985. Teresa's interests included watching her son play
sports; volunteering her time to the Assistance League of
Salem; and the Willamette Humane Society, walking and
rescuing dogs. Teresa leaves behind her husband Alan,
her son Brock, her father Lowell (Betty), sisters Linda
(Dave) and Vicki (Dean), brother Steve (Tracy), many
nieces and nephews, and a host of special friends that
she nurtured along her journey.
The Family would like to say a special thank you to
the "Hospital Heroes" at Salem Hospital. The care that she
received during her journey was world class. The medical
skill level and the care and compassion provided by Dr.
Scott Ambruster, Dr. Clifton Bong, Dr. Larry Gates, and Dr.
John Strother during her journey was so amazing that it
is hard to adequately describe its impact.
The memorial service for Teresa will be Tuesday, July
5, 2016, at 1:00 PM, at Restlawn Funeral Home, 201 Oak
Grove Road NW. The Celebration of Life ceremony will
take place afterwards, at Chemeketa Eola Northwest
Wine Studies Center, 215 Doaks Ferry Road NW, in Salem.
Contributions in Teresas honor can be made to
Willamette Humane Society and the Assistance League
of Salem.
