SALEM - Thelma Rice Bauer passed away in Salem on October 13, 2013. Thelma was born on July 31, 1924 to parents Robert & Inez Rice of King William County Virginia. She married Curtis McMaster and moved to Fargo, North Dakota; later married Carl Bauer and moved to Salem, Oregon in 1967. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jean, and son Brian McMaster. She is survived by her brothers James Franklin Rice and Robert Sydney Rice III of Virginia and daughters Donna McMaster of Fargo, ND, Carol (McMaster) Zimmer of Salem, OR, and Carla (Bauer) Seguin of Ottawa, Canada.
Thelma was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witness in July 1972. She is remembered as having a regular share in congregation meetings and active participation in the door-to-door ministry, helping to teach what the Bible really teaches.
Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness at Sunnyside & Mildred in S. Salem on Monday, Oct. 21, at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements by Restlawn Funeral Home, Salem, Oregon.
