Vanada was born and raised in the Primitive Baptist Church and remained loyal and faithful until her last breath. Vanada was blessed to celebrate the 64th wedding anniversary with her dear husband, Herbert Morris last December.
Vanada lived on a quiet street surrounded by wonderful neighbors and enjoyed many activities in the Salem area. She was a member of the Courthouse Athletic Club and loved the classes and the people.
Vanada and her husband graduated from the class with Master Gardeners and learned so much. She never met a Master Gardener she did not like. The subject that interested her most were the Mason Bees, which absolutely fascinated her. She was able to see the bees in her back yard and what they did.
She was also a member of the 50 plus Senior Center and enjoyed the best foot care. She loved the lady who did her pedicures and became fast friends.
Vanada's family was the delight of her life, which includes her husband, Herbert Morris, their son Kenneth Morris and wife Lisa, daughter Teresa Cook and husband John, daughter Susan Amber Traver (deceased) and her husband Richard, and daughter Genoa Molden and husband Shannon. Vanada also has 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Her life was dedicated to serving others and exemplified the love of God to everyone. She recited the Lord's prayer daily, hugged everyone tightly, and loved with undying affection. All who knew her will deeply miss her.
