SALEM - Vera Paulson was born November 18, 1912 in Canby, Minnesota to Lillian and Walter Taylor. Vera passed away July 29, 2007, at the age of 94, from natural causes. Vera Taylor married Orville Paulson on April 4, 1931. They lived in Wisconsin for a number of years before moving to California in 1951. They settled in Salem in 1968. Vera was an avid gardner of roses and flowers of all kinds. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, and reading. Her husband of 54 years preceded her in death in 1985. Vera is survived by her eight children, daughters, Loretta Clark of Washington, Beverly Biely of Wisconsin, Dolores Bailey of Idaho, Linda Paulson of California, and Sharon Mullican of California; her sons, Oriville 'Butch' Paulson of Wisconsin, Merle Paulson of Texas, and Sig Paulson of Salem; 25 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie and Myrlah, and one brother, Merril, all of Wisconsin. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 1 at Restlawn Chapel, 201 Oak Grove Rd. NW, Salem. Arrangements are by Restlawn Funeral Home. Vera will be missed and was loved by all of her friends and family. Rest in peace, Vera.
